Proceedings of March 10

• Austin J. Hoffman, 18, Suring, pleaded no contest to child abuse recklessly causing harm, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 7. Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing for May 9 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• After a preliminary hearing George Gardea-Eagle, 33, Oconto Falls, was bound over and pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 23. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for April 13.

Proceedings of March 9

• Amy M. Harris, 36, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred July 5. The charge was amended from a felony in a plea agreement. Conley sentenced Harris to 10 days in the county jail with good time and Huber work-release privileges.

• Kevin D. Damp, 39, Shawano, pleaded no contest to the manufacture and delivery of fentanyl, in connection with an incident that occurred July 24. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for May 9 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Ethan Paul Miller, 20, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to second-degree sexual assault of a child in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 14. Judge scheduled sentencing for May 9 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Patricia Ann Nunway, 29, Keshena, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 27. Judge scheduled sentencing for May 5 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• A two-day trial was rescheduled to May 10-11 for Benjamin W. Buch, 21, Tigerton, who is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, bail jumping, and exposing himself to a child, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 1, 2020. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for March 22.

• Shannon R. Tuchscherer, 49, Gillett, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to theft in a business setting, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 10. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 25.

• Cody James Meyer, 35, Oconto Falls, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of possession of methamphetamine (repeater) and misdemeanor counts of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 15. Arraignment was scheduled for April 13.

• After a preliminary hearing Charles S. Elm, 48, De Pere, was bound over on charges of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 30. Arraignment was scheduled for April 13.

Proceedings of March 8

• Lacey M. Rose, 39, Oconto, pleaded no contest to misstating facts in a food stamp application, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 1, 2014. Judge approved a deferred judgment agreement suspending the case for one year.

• Audrey K. Pownell, 21, Abrams, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of retail theft less than $2,500, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 17. The charge was amended from a felony in a plea agreement. Judge withheld sentencing and placed Pownell on probation for one year.

Proceedings of March 6

• A charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense) was dismissed against David F. Tauscheck Jr., 52, Oconto, after District Attorney Hannah Schuchart acknowledged that a blood draw taken Dec. 2 came back as below the legal threshold for drunken driving.

• A Sept. 26-27 jury trial was scheduled for Scott Glen Sorenson, 58, De Pere, who is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), in connection with an Oct. 10, 2019, crash in the town of Stiles. A motion hearing is planned on June 5, with a final pre-trial conference scheduled for Sept. 11.
