A pair of home runs powered the Milwaukee Brewers to a shutout win over the St. Louis Cardinals in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday in Milwaukee.

Ryan Braun hit a three-run homer in the first inning — the blast was Braun's 350th career homer. Jacob Nottingham then belted a two-run shot in the sixth. Jedd Gyorko drove in the other run on a sacrifice flyout in the first.

Freddy Peralta earned the win after striking out three batters over two innings. Brent Suter started and went three innings. Devin Williams and Eric Yardley each tossed scoreless innings to seal up the victory.

Milwaukee improved to 23-26 overall. The Brewers have 11 games remaining.

The Brewers blew an early two-run lead in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals in Milwaukee.

Keston Hiura hit a two-run homer in the first for the Brewers. Milwaukee had just two hits the rest of the contest.

Brandon Woodruff took the loss after working all seven innings. He struck out five batters.

Avisail Garcia led the hosts with two hits. Christian Yelich had the other hit.

The Brewers pounded out 15 hits and drew seven walks during a rout of the Cardinals on Tuesday in Milwaukee.

Daniel Vogelbach and Hiura each finished with four RBIs for the Brewers, while Omar Narvaez and Ryan Braun drove in a pair each.

Braun, Yelich, Vogelbach and Hiura all homered for Milwaukee.

Brett Anderson earned the win after allowing two runs over six innings. Ray Black allowed the final run before Corey Knebel worked two scoreless innings to seal up the win.

The Brewers coughed up a two-run lead in the second game of a doubleheader against the Cardinals on Monday in Milwaukee.

Gyorko hit a two-run home run to put Milwaukee on the scoreboard in the fourth inning.

The Brewers held the lead until the seventh, when Yardley allowed the run that tied the contest. Justin Topa allowed the run in the ninth and took the loss.

Corbin Burnes started and struck out 10 batters over 4 2/3 innings. He allowed St. Louis' first run.

The Brewers scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning to pick up a walk-off win over the Cardinals in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday in Milwaukee.

Braun doubled to tie the game at one. Hiura then hit a sacrifice fly to score Garcia and win it.

Peralta allowed the baserunner that started extra innings on second base to score, but earned the win after Milwaukee's two runs.

Josh Lindblom started and struck out six batters over five impressive innings. Williams and Josh Hader followed with scoreless innings.

The Brewers were no hit in a lopsided loss to the Chicago Cubs on Sunday in Milwaukee.

Alec Mills threw the no-hitter for the Cubs, striking out five and walking three. He needed 114 pitches to get through the game.

Adrian Houser took the loss after surrendering seven runs over four innings. Only two of the runs were earned.

Milwaukee's Hader allowed two home runs and four ninth-inning runs in the Brewers devastating loss to the Cubs on Saturday in Milwaukee.

Braun hit a two-run homer in the fourth to give Milwaukee the lead.

Suter started and struck out six batters in three innings. Peralta, Yardley, Williams and Alex Claudio then covered the next five innings.

The blown save was Hader's second of the season.

Milwaukee's Braun hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to score Yelich and lift the Brewers to a tight win over the Cubs on Friday in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee had four hits in the game, while holding Chicago to two.

Woodruff struck out 12 batters and allowed just one hit over seven innings. Williams worked a scoreless eighth before Hader tossed a scoreless ninth.
