Lucas L. “Dibs” Christenson, 46, of Shawano, died tragically Saturday evening, Nov. 19, 2022, at his home in Shawano.

Lucas was born July 20, 1976, in Green Bay, a son of the late Steven Christenson and the late Jean (Schaetz) Kobiske. He attended Menominee Tribal School and Ashwaubenon High School. He worked various jobs, including bartending, to provide for his family until he found his “dream job” and earned the nickname “Parts God.” He was employed at Alpha Automotive in Green Bay. On Aug. 3, 2013, Lucas was united in marriage to Kimberly in Marshfield. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Shawano.

Lucas was known for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor. He was the first to lend a hand to those in need. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Lucas followed Norse mythology. He enjoyed hockey as well as other sports. Lucas loved a good round of golf, pizza and his favorite meal — steak with a side of steak.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim “Kitty,” of Shawano; two daughters, Tayler (Tim) Otto, of Clintonville, and London Bowman, of Oconto Falls; his son, Trevor Christenson, of Shawano; his stepsons, Nick Christenson and Andre Lampinen, both of Shawano; four grandchildren, Carson, Samuel and Cameron Otto and Nevaeh Christenson; two sisters, Jinger Kasiner-Sutalo and Cheryl Palmer; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Bushey, and his special aunt, Leeann Blazer.

A private family visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service of Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements. Please share online condolences at www.mickelsonfs.com.
