SHAWANO — In a back-and-forth high school hockey battle, it was the Shawano co-op that scored five goals in the third period to secure an 11-8 victory over Team SeAL (Chequamegon/Phillips) on Monday at the Crawford Center.

Trailing 8-6 entering the final period, the Shawano co-op was able to cut into the deficit on a goal from senior Noah Kiefer about two minutes into the period.

Junior Ryan Wegenke tied the game at eight with a goal in the eighth minute of the period before senior Johnny Dillenburg gave the hosts the lead in the 11th minute with a short-handed goal.

Wegenke scored an insurance goal in the 14th minute before junior Andrew Puissant netted a power play goal in the 16th minute to seal up Shawano’s comeback win.
