Suring 42

Oneida Nation/GB NEW Lutheran co-op 12

Suring eased to a Peninsula Conference 8-player win over Oneida Nation/Green Bay NEW Lutheran on Sept. 23 in Suring. The Eagles scored 24 points in the first quarter and led 30-12 at halftime.

Keegan Rattin rushed for 154 yards on just 15 carries to power Suring's offense. He intercepted a pass and returned it 81 yards for a touchdown.

Trent VanDenElzen rushed for 85 yards and two scores, while Ashtyn Edwards had 78 rushing yards and two scores. Seth Scrivens opened the scoring with a touchdown run.

Lena/STAA 52

Algoma 24

Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy used a 30-point second quarter to roll to a Peninsula Conference 8-player win over Algoma on Sept. 23 in Algoma.

Sam Marquardt rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns to power Lena/STAA offensively. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 97 yards for a score.

Tyler Shallow scored Lena/STAA's other two offensive touchdowns, both rushing. Logan Graef finished with 56 rushing yards.

Coleman 38

Oconto Falls 12

Oconto Falls dropped a Northwoods Conference clash to Coleman on Sept. 23 in Oconto Falls.

The Panthers scored first on a touchdown run from Carter Hill early in the second quarter, but Coleman ended the half up 24-6.

Coleman ended up scoring 38 unanswered points before Adam Haines scored for Oconto Falls in the fourth quarter.

The loss was the first in conference play for the Panthers.
