VOLLEYBALL

Bowler posts 1-3 mark at invite

Bowler topped Wausaukee (15-25, 25-22, 15-3) and dropped matches to Stockbridge (25-21, 25-23), Lourdes Academy (25-15, 25-18) and Suring (25-22, 23-25, 15-11) during the Suring Invite on Sept. 17 in Suring.

Against Wausaukee, Bowler's Isabella Stevens led the team with five attack kills. Brandi Spencer tallied 10 assists and five aces, while Bertina Dodge and Ava Paiser had five digs each.

In the loss to Stockbridge, Natalie Rickert and Spencer tallied five attack kills each. Spencer and Paiser recorded nine and eight assists, respectively, while Stevens had 14 digs and three aces. Rickert tallied four attack kills for Bowler against Lourdes Academy. Dodge led the team with 10 digs, Spencer recorded nine assists and Stevens had seven digs.

Stevens was credited with seven attack kills against Suring, while Dodge had five and Paiser four. Spencer posted 14 assists, Paiser tallied seven digs and six assists and Shianne Pike served four aces.

Tigerton goes 0-3 at invite

Tigerton dropped matches to Sevastopol (25-10, 25-6), Stockbridge (14-25, 25-23, 15-12) and Three Lakes (25-21, 25-18) during the Suring Invite on Sept. 17 in Suring.

Skyler Hauser finished the day with 32 attack kills, 27 digs and six block kills for Tigerton. Abby Swartz recorded 34 digs, eight attack kills and nine service points, while Samantha Suehring had 23 digs and 18 service points.

McKenzie Hoffman led the Tigers with 39 assists and added eight digs. Jade Selle recorded 21 digs.

Oconto Falls takes 4th place at invite

Oconto Falls earned wins over West De Pere (25-14, 25-19) and Green Bay NEW Lutheran (25-14, 25-21) while losing to Kewaskum (25-21, 25-17), Kiel (25-23, 25-22) and Seymour (19-25, 27-25, 15-10) to finish fourth at the Pulaski Invite on Sept. 17 in Pulaski.

Against West De Pere, Oconto Falls' Morgan Moynihan led the team with nine assists, while Hanna Krejcarek had six assists, three aces and seven digs. Amber Otto tallied 11 digs and four attack kills, while Keira Cole also had four attack kills. Moynihan and Kyndra Staidl posted 10 digs each against Green Bay NEW Lutheran. Krejcarek and Moynihan had seven and six assists, respectively, while Brailyn St. Louis, Cole and Otto had four attack kills each.

St. Louis led the Panthers with seven attack kills against Kewaskum, with Madison Uelmen tallying a team-leading eight digs and Krejcarek a team-leading eight assists. Staidl had 11 digs against Kiel, with Tess Maggio leading the team with six attack kills. Otto tallied eight digs, while Moynihan and Krejcarek recorded eight and seven assists, respectively.

In the loss to Seymour, Krejcarek was credited with 12 assists and nine digs. Moynihan had eight assists, four aces and seven digs, while Staidl and Uelmen posted nine and eight digs, respectively. Otto finished with seven digs and a team-leading nine attack kills. Maggio recorded five attack kills, while Grace Molitor served five aces.

BOYS SOCCER

Gresham/Bowler finishes 0-2 at tournament

Gresham/Bowler dropped matches to Antigo (2-0) and Nekoosa (3-1) during a tournament on Sept. 17 in Antigo.

Adin Pranke scored Gresham/Bowler's goal against Nekoosa. Edward Castellanos was credited with the assist on the score.

CROSS-COUNTRY

Bonduel girls 3rd, boys 8th at invitational

The Bonduel girls claimed third with a score of 100 and the boys came in eighth with a mark of 189 at the New London Bulldog Invitational on Sept. 17 in New London.

Mariah Wondra led the girls team with a ninth-place individual finish in 21 minutes, 37.1 seconds. Teagan Engel (22:00.6) and Ashlyn Kurey (22:15.1) placed 14th and 15th, respectively. Kendra Troxel (23:28.7) took 30th, while Joselyn Bohm (23:48.9) was 34th.

Ben O'Brien placed second in 17:55.9 to lead the Bonduel boys.

Race Anvelink (19:50.6) placed 29th, while Ayden Dunst (20:34.4) was 43rd. Ben Reisner finished 67th in 22:37.4 and Griffin Uelmen was 73rd in 23:59.6.

4 Mustangs compete at invitational

Three Marion boys and one girl ran at the New London Bulldog Invitational on Sept. 17 in New London.

Bridget Much had the top finish for the team, placing 71st in the girls race in 32:04.7.

On the boys side, Tristan Herro (24:13.4), Jaden Stuhr (25:20.4) and Jesse Trebus (25:43.3) placed 74th, 77th and 78th, respectively.
