VOLLEYBALL

Lena 3

Suring 2

Fourth-seeded Lena upset top-seeded Suring in a Division 4 regional semifinal match between Marinette & Oconto Conference foes on Oct. 20 in Suring. Lena won by scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-11.

Natalie McNurlen tallied 13 total kills for Lena, while Peyton Dorow had six attack kills and eight aces. Claire Brooks and Alabama Lambert contributed five and four attack kills, respectively. Makynna Herald finished with 22 assists.

Christine Sleeter led Suring with 12 total kills and six assists, while McKenzie Chesterfield had seven attack kills. MaShya Seefeldt totaled 11 assists and three aces, Emma Kristof posted 16 digs and Trinity Remic and Bailey Stuart chipped in six digs each.

The Wildcats will face No. 2 Gresham in the regional final on Oct. 22 in Gresham.

Bonduel 3

Peshtigo 2

Fourth-seeded Bonduel rallied from two sets down to topple fifth-seeded Peshtigo in a Division 3 regional semifinal match on Oct. 20 in Bonduel. The Bears won by scores of 23-25, 21-25, 25-12, 25-17, 15-12.

Audrey Weier tallied 23 kills and 14 digs for Bonduel, while Hailee Thompson had 30 assists, 24 digs and six kills.

Lila Pleshek contributed 24 digs for the Bears. Macy Niles totaled 19 digs and six aces, while Josie Anvelink chipped in five kills.

Bonduel will battle top-seeded Wittenberg-Birnamwood in the regional final on Oct. 22.

Shawano 3

Waupaca 1

Fifth-seeded Shawano kept its season alive after upsetting fourth-seeded Waupaca in a Division 2 regional semifinal match on Oct. 20 in Waupaca.

The Hawks won by scores of 27-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19 and will take on top-seeded Tomahawk in the regional final on Oct. 22 in Tomahawk.

Coral Cook recorded 16 kills and three aces to power Shawano to victory. Leah Nordin added 13 kills and four blocks.

Alix Heath racked up 41 assists on the night for the Hawks. Sam Richter and Gabby Koenig tallied 18 and 16 digs, respectively.

Oconto Falls 3

Antigo 0

Second-seeded Oconto Falls knocked off 10th-seeded Antigo in a Division 2 regional semifinal match on Oct. 20 in Oconto Falls.

Oconto Falls won by scores of 25-15, 25-20, 30-28 to advance to the regional final. The Panthers will host No. 3 Mosinee in that game on Oct. 22.

Amber Otto led Oconto Falls with 20 attack kills, four aces and six digs, while Brailyn St. Louis added 11 attack kills. Hanna Krejcarek contributed 16 assists, nine digs and three aces.

Grace Molitor was credited with four total blocks for the Panthers. Kyndra Staidl led the team with 13 digs, while Morgan Moynihan had 14 assists.

Witt-Birn 3

Coleman 0

Top-seeded Witt-Birn cruised to a Division 3 regional semifinal win over ninth-seeded Coleman on Oct. 20 in Wittenberg.

Witt-Birn won by scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-17. The Chargers will host No. 4 Bonduel in a regional title match on Oct. 22.

London Metropulos posted 16 attack kills, served 11 times and had three aces for Witt-Birn. Reese Rogowski added 12 attack kills, 12 digs and three block kills.

Lilly Betry finished with 18 assists for the Chargers. Melaina Granquist chipped in three block kills.

Gresham 3

Bowler 0

Second-seeded Gresham swept third-seeded Bowler in a Division 4 regional semifinal match on Oct. 20 in Gresham. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-20, 25-9, 25-20 and will host No. 4 Lena for the regional title on Oct. 22.

Chloe Bohl and Jessa Jensen led Gresham with 10 and nine kills, respectively. Lexi Baddmoccosin-Barnes recorded 13 assists, while Janay Pecore-Kirkland had 18 service points and seven aces.

Isabella Stevens tallied seven kills, seven digs and five blocks for Bowler. Natalie Rickert added five kills, while Brandi Spencer had 14 assists, nine digs and four attack kills. Shianne Pyke contributed 14 digs, while Ava Paiser had six assists.

Hortonville 3

Pulaski 0

Pulaski, a No. 11 seed, saw its season come to an end after a Division 1 regional semifinal loss to sixth-seeded Hortonville on Oct. 20 in Hortonville.

Hortonville won by scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.
