BOYS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 62

Antigo 39

Wittenberg-Birnamwood dominated the second half to pick up a nonconference win over Antigo on Nov. 29 in Antigo. The Chargers outscored the hosts 41-23 in the final half.

Mason Meverden knocked down six 3-pointers and led Witt-Birn with 26 points. He made five 3-pointers in the second half.

Michael Miller added 10 points for Witt-Birn, all in the first half. Marshall Fraaza tallied seven points, while Casey Kielman had six.

Shawano 68

Appleton North 54

Shawano picked up a nonconference home win over Appleton North on Nov. 29 in Shawano.

Michael Metcalf-Grassman powered Shawano with 28 points.

Jacob Landon chipped in 11 points for the Hawks. Luke Guenther provided 10 points, while Brandon Reed had nine points.

Bowler 65

Lena 35

Bowler cruised to a nonconference win over Lena on Nov. 29 in Lena.

Emmitt Kietlinski made 14 shots and finished with 31 points for Bowler.

Bowler's Marcus Malone added 20 points, including three 3-pointers. Danian Schultz tallied eight points.

Anthony Seefeldt scored nine points to lead Lena offensively.

Elcho 51

Tigerton 28

Tigerton fell to Elcho in a nonconference clash on Nov. 29 in Elcho.

Ryder Graham and Loghan Wanta each scored six points for Tigerton.

Colby Wanta had five steals for the Tigers, while Sam Anheuser had three.

Little Chute 75

Oconto Falls 23

Oconto Falls couldn't get much going offensively in a North Eastern Conference game against Little Chute on Nov. 29 in Oconto Falls.

Caden Birr scored eight points for Oconto Falls, while Kody Vorpahl added six points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 63

Marathon 35

Witt-Birn cruised to a nonconference win over Marathon on Nov. 29 in Wittenberg.

Reese Rogowski scored 20 points to lead Witt-Birn to victory. Melaina Granquist tallied 11 points, while Jami Wendler had 10. Rory Salvesen contributed nine points and Allison Linke had seven points.

Granquist also pulled down 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double. Linke had six steals, while Salvesen finished with four steals.

Suring 51

Wausaukee 44

Suring rallied past Wausaukee in a Marinette & Oconto Conference matchup on Nov. 29 in Suring. The Eagles outscored the visitors 31-21 in the second half.

Christine Sleeter tallied 21 points, eight rebounds, six blocks and three steals to lead Suring.

Bunny Cramer tallied 10 points, four steals and four assists for the Eagles, while Birdee Cramer had nine points and 10 boards. Emma Kristof chipped in eight points.

MacKenzie Bailey finished with 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks for Suring.

Ashwaubenon 46

Shawano 41

Shawano dropped a tight nonconference clash to Ashwaubenon on Nov. 29 in Ashwaubenon.

Leah Nordin led Shawano with 14 points.

Elcho 30

Tigerton 28

Tigerton fell just short in a nonconference battle with Elcho on Nov. 29 in Tigerton.

Aaliyah Lederhaus posted 12 points and 16 rebounds to lead Tigerton.

Abby Swartz pulled down nine rebounds for the Tigers, while Sienna Breaker scored eight points.

Gillett 51

Gresham 33

Gillett pulled away from Gresham in a nonconference clash on Nov. 29 in Gresham.

Cilena Guns made 10 shots and scored 20 points to lead Gillett offensively. Carleigh Kaczmarek added 14 points, while Cheyenne Krueger had 11.

Jessa Jensen made three 3-pointers and a three-point play to score 12 points for Gresham. Janay Pecore-Kirkland tallied eight points, while Maddie Haffner had seven.

BOYS HOCKEY

Shawano co-op 6

Neenah 1

The Shawano co-op topped the Neenah junior varsity squad on Nov. 29 in Grand Chute.

Karson Stoss scored three goals for the co-op. Louis Hrabik added two goals, while Aidan Beaulieu had the other goal. Owen Curran was credited with two assists, while goalie Dylan Prochaska made 31 saves.
