Shawano 59

Gillett 43

Shawano picked up a season-opening nonconference win over Gillett on Tuesday in Shawano.

Rachel Reed posted 22 points to lead Shawano. Brianna Wright added 12 points, while Avery Dreier had 11.

The Hawks outscored the visitors by eight points in each half.

Witt-Birn 60

Wausau East 34

Wittenberg-Birnamwood rolled to a nonconference win over Wausau East on Tuesday in Wittenberg. The Chargers led 33-16 at halftime.

Emma Herb led the way for Witt-Birn, tallying 25 points and seven rebounds. Kaylee Schram and Reese Rogowski each chipped in 10 points, while Kiara Deruchowski had nine points.

Rogowski also contributed seven assists and five rebounds, while Deruchowski finished with three steals. Amara Schoepke pulled down six rebounds.

Bonduel 57

Manawa 41

Bonduel opened its season with a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover win against Manawa on Tuesday in Manawa. The Bears led 30-18 at halftime.

Allaina Robaidek scored 16 points and added seven assists for Bonduel, while Kara Troxel had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. Brenna Hertzfeldt chipped in nine points, while Kylie Hoffman tallied 10 rebounds and five steals.

"I thought we played well defensively at times and passed the ball well, assisting on 18 of 23 made baskets," said Bonduel coach Jerry Reinke. "It was a great start to the season but there is plenty of things to work on."

Elcho 36

Tigerton 17

Tigerton lost a nonconference battle with Elcho on Tuesday in Tigerton.

Elizabeth Robbins tallied eight points and seven rebounds for Tigerton. The Tigers trailed 23-7 at halftime.

Pacelli 53

Marion 9

Marion dropped a CWC crossover matchup against Pacelli on Tuesday in Marion. The Mustangs trailed 44-3 at halftime.

Kelsey Zillmer tallied four points and three blocks for Marion. Savannah Ross grabbed seven rebounds.
