BASEBALL

Marion 13

Bowler 1 (5 inn.)

Marion clinched the Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division title with a lopsided win over Bowler on May 16 in Bowler. The Mustangs are 10-0 in conference play.

Ryan Malueg led Marion at the plate, homering and doubling to drive in six runs. The Mustangs scored nine runs in the top of the first inning.

Jaden Stuhr started on the mound for Marion and struck out four batters over two innings. Malueg allowed an unearned run over three innings.

Lena 9

Niagara 0

Lena blanked Niagara in a Marinette & Oconto Conference Tournament game on May 16 in Lena.

Logan Shallow pitched a complete game shutout for Lena, striking out 12 batters while surrendering just two hits and one walk. At the plate, Shallow drove in two runs on two hits.

Logan Graef led Lena with three hits and also scored twice, while Sam Marquardt also crossed home plate twice. Marquardt stole four bases.

Pulaski 4

De Pere 1

Pulaski took down De Pere in a Fox River Classic Conference clash on May 16 in Pulaski.

Kyle Olson pitched all seven innings for Pulaski, striking out five while allowing just three hits and two walks.

Max Burdette, Brayden Otto and Jonah Klingeisen all drove in a run for the Red Raiders.

Seymour 4

Shawano 2

Shawano dropped a Bay Conference battle to Seymour on May 17 in Shawano.

Jacob Landon and Deacon Carroll drove in Shawano's runs, with Landon and Ashton Henning scoring. Carson Popp, Andrew Popp and Henning all had two hits for the Hawks.

Brady Glysch took the loss after pitching 6⅓ innings. Jacob Polzin got the final two outs.

Denmark 18

Oconto Falls 0 (5 inn.)

Oconto Falls was limited to two hits in a North Eastern Conference matchup against Denmark on May 16 in Denmark.

Cy Vizelka and Jaxson Ducharme had the Panthers' hits.

Logan Kramer, Jeffrey Virtues and Tanner Wos all pitched for the Panthers.

SOFTBALL

Shiocton 17

Menominee Indian 3

Menominee Indian lost a CWC-East contest to Shiocton on May 16 in Shiocton.

Ashlee Corn and Sam Wilber drove in a run each for Menominee Indian. Alexis Wilber and Ravena Arlequin each posted two hits, with Arlequin also scoring twice.

Aniya Peters, Alexis Wilber and Corn all pitched for the Eagles.

Gillett/Suring tops Tigerton twice

Gillett/Suring earned 9-4 and 8-7 nonconference wins over Tigerton on May 16 in Tigerton.

In the 9-4 loss, Tigerton's Bethany Jobe drove in two runs on two hits, while Abby Swartz scored twice and Angel Welch had three hits. Skyler Hauser was dealt the loss in the circle. In the second game, Swartz and Elizabeth Stueck drove in two runs, while Swartz scored two more runs. Hauser and Welch pitched.
