SOFTBALL

Bonduel 15

Menominee Indian 0 (4 inn.)

Bonduel’s Nakiyah Henning pitched a no-hitter to lead the seventh-seeded Bears past 10th-seeded Menominee Indian in a Division 3 regional playoff game on June 9 in Bonduel. The Bears will travel to take on second-seeded Peshtigo in another regional game on June 14.

Henning struck out eight batters and allowed just one walk in the contest. At the plate, she drove in six runs on three hits.

Hailey Zernicke drove in three runs, while Abby Stoltenow tallied two RBIs and scored four runs for Bonduel.

Aniya Peters suffered the loss for Menominee Indian, while Mariah Fish also pitched. Selena O’Kimosh drew a walk for the team’s lone baserunner.

Marion 7

Rosholt 5

Eighth-seeded Marion picked up a Division 5 regional win over ninth-seeded Rosholt on June 9 in Marion.

Marion will next travel to take on top-seeded Pacelli on June 14.

Witt-Birn 9

Iola-Scandinavia 5

Wittenberg-Birnamwood won the Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division title outright after toppling Iola-Scandinavia on June 9 in Wittenberg.

McKenna Foster drove in two runs and scored twice to lead Witt-Birn at the plate. Emma Herb, Abi Fraaza, Jasmin Duranceau, Kaylee Schram, Halle Beversdorf and Kiara Deruchowski all drove in a run each.

Duranceau earned the win in the circle, pitching all seven innings. She struck out three batters while allowing eight hits.

BASEBALL

Shawano 13

Winneconne 2 (5 inn.)

Shawano rode a seven-run second inning to a convincing nonconference win over Winneconne on June 9 in Winneconne.

Aidan Berry and Kaleb Lowney each drove in three runs for Shawano, while Andrew Popp drove in a pair. Popp led the team with three hits, while Berry and Ashton Henning had two each.

Henning and Popp scored three runs each.

Berry picked up the win after striking out five batters over four innings. He allowed one run on three hits and three walks. Joey Sperberg pitched the last inning, allowing an unearned run.
