Shawano 3

Seymour 1

Shawano defeated Seymour in a Bay Conference battle June 1 in Seymour.

Ashton Henning had three hits, a RBI and a run scored to lead Shawano at the plate. Brandon Bushy belted a two-run home run in the first inning to put the Hawks ahead.

Andrew Popp earned the win on the mound after striking out five batters over 4 2/3 innings. He surrendered just three hits and two walks.

Henning picked up the save after getting the final seven outs. He struck out two batters and gave up a run on two hits and a walk.

Bonduel 9

Wey-Fre 1

Bonduel eased to a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division victory over Weyauwega-Fremont on June 1 in Bonduel.

The hosts scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning before scoring twice in the second and fourth frames and once in the sixth.

Mason Bohm earned the win on the hill, striking out seven batters over 5 2/3 innings. He surrendered one run on three hits and four walks.

Reece Stoltenow had two hits and two RBIs for Bonduel. Brett Margelofsky drove in four runs on two hits, while Noah Weier had two RBIs on two hits.

Bonduel improved to 13-5 overall and 8-2 in conference play.

Marion 5

NL/WVL 0 (9 inn.)

Marion broke a scoreless contest with a five-run ninth inning to claim a CWC-North clash with Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran on June 1 in Kronenwetter.

Koy Brei had two hits, drew two walks and drove in two runs for Marion. Alex Zimmerman had two hits and also stole three bases, while Ryan Malueg drove in a pair on two hits.

Jaden Stuhr earned the win after working the last two innings. He allowed two hits, but struck out six batters to avoid giving up any runs.

Zimmerman pitched the first seven innings, striking out nine batters while surrendering just two hits and two walks.

Witt-Birn 14

Menominee Indian 3 (6 inn.)

Wittenberg-Birnamwood scored in all six innings to roll to a CWC-East win over Menominee Indian on June 1 in Keshena.

Ian Salvesen had three hits and three RBIs, while also scoring three runs to lead Witt-Birn at the plate. Austin Worzalla and Chase Krull each drove in two runs. Bryce Zoromski scored four runs, while Mason Meverden, Carter Herb and Quinn Schultz crossed the plate twice each.

Austin Rekow earned the win after allowing three unearned runs across four innings. Nate Waupekenay tossed two scoreless innings for the Chargers to seal up the win.


Witt-Birn 17

Menominee Indian 0 (4 inn.)

Witt-Birn tallied seven runs in the first and second innings to cruise to a CWC-East win over Menominee Indian on June 1 in Keshena.

Jadalynn Davids, Amara Schoepke and McKenna Foster each drove in two runs for Witt-Birn. Abi Fraaza and Kaylee Schram each scored three runs, while Foster, Schoepke, Davids, Paige Kurth and Kiara Deruchowski scored two runs each.

Deruchowski pitched three innings, striking out three batters along the way. Jasmin Duranceau pitched one inning for the Chargers.

Gabriella Wayka and Mariah Fish posted Menominee Indian's hits. Aniya Peters and Fish both spent time pitching.

Bonduel 7

Wey-Fre 1

Bonduel cruised to a CWC-East win over Weyauwega-Fremont on June 1 in Bonduel.

Nakiyah Henning struck out six batters while earning the win in the circle.

Abby Stoltenow had three hits for the Bears. Henning scored three runs and chipped in two hits.

Manawa 11

Tigerton 4

Tigerton allowed nine runs between the fourth and sixth innings during a CWC-North setback to Manawa on June 1 in Manawa.

Leandra Kalwitz drove in two runs for Tigerton, while Savannah Swartz delivered two singles.

Skyler Hauser was dealt the loss after pitching all six innings.


Shawano 4

St. Mary Catholic 3

Shawano edged St. Mary Catholic in a nonconference match June 1 in Shawano.

Leo Liu (No. 2), Joe Mente (No. 3) and Carson Cummings (No. 4) earned singles wins for Shawano, while Josh Bergmann and Tristan Szucs earned a No. 2 doubles win.

Shawano 9

Peshtigo 2

Shawano rolled to a nonconference win over Peshtigo on June 1 in Shawano.

Kaylee Rindt scored four goals to led the Hawks in the win. Abigail Rabideau scored twice and also assisted on two other goals.

Allie Cruz, Isabel Colon and Caitlyn Moede all netted one goal each for Shawano. Cruz also was credited with two assists.

Goalie Brynlie Boyles made four saves while defending the net for the Hawks.
