Shawano places fourth at invite

Shawano earned 117 points as a team to place fourth at the 19-team Herb Tyler Invitational on Saturday in Sheboygan.

Ben Carroll (152), Gage Timm (160) and Keith Tourtillott (220) led Shawano with second-place finishes.

Carroll had two pins on the day and reached his 100th high school win. Timm tallied two major decision wins, while Tourtillott won by technical fall and then a pin to advance to the first-place match.

Wyatt Brandt (120) and Andrew Popp (170) each placed fifth for the Hawks.
