GIRLS BASKETBALL

Gresham 55

Menominee Indian 44

Gresham pulled away in the second half to pick up a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover win over Menominee Indian on Jan. 17 in Gresham. The Wildcats outscored the Eagles 29-20 in the final 18 minutes of play.

Maddie Haffner knocked down seven field goals and four free throws to score 20 points for Gresham. Janay Pecore-Kirkland added 10 points.

Chloe Bohl and Lexi Baddmoccosin-Barnes each chipped in six points for the Wildcats.

Mariah Fish led Menominee Indian with 16 points. Emma Komanekin hit three 3-pointers to finish with nine points, while Ashlee Corn had eight points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Menominee Indian 74

Bonduel 66

Menominee Indian outscored Bonduel 45-35 in the second half to claim a CWC-East battle on Jan. 17 in Keshena.

Isaiah Moss hit nine shots and five free throws to score 24 points for Menominee Indian. Lloyd Reevis buried five 3-pointers and had 23 points.

Kenehsaeh Waukau contributed 14 points for the Eagles, while Barron Waupoose tallied nine points.

Bonduel was paced by Cade Johnson, who made three 3-pointers and scored 19 total points. Ryan Westrich had 14 points, while Noah Weier had 12. Charlie Tauchen chipped in seven points, while Brodie Hartmann and Race Anvelink had six points each.

Gillett 64

Suring 32

Gillett doubled up Suring in a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash on Jan. 17 in Suring.

Jesse DeBauch converted 11 field goals and scored 25 points for Gillett. Austin VandeCorput tallied 13 points, while Tyler Frank had 11.

Ashtyn Edwards led Suring with 12 points. Trent VanDenElzen chipped in seven points.

Niagara 61

Lena 50

A 40-point second half wasn't enough for Lena in an M&O setback to Niagara on Jan. 17 in Lena.

Reed Hosking led Lena with 15 points, while Anthony Seefeldt tallied 10 and Mason Spice nine. Spice made three 3-point baskets.

Logan Graef tallied eight points for the Wildcats. Caleb Schlosser added seven points.

Shiocton 76

Witt-Birn 49

Wittenberg-Birnamwood was outscored 43-24 in the second half of a CWC-East loss to Shiocton on Jan. 17 in Wittenberg.

Mason Meverden knocked down three 3-pointers and led Witt-Birn with 15 points.

Michael Miller tallied eight points, while Jett Rogowski, Keegan Schmid and Oliver Fraaza all had six points.

Marion 64

Bowler 63

Marion rallied from a 17-point second half deficit and knocked off Bowler to remain perfect in CWC-North play on Jan. 17 in Marion.

Ryan Malueg hit five 3-pointers and scored 24 points to power Marion's comeback charge. Parker Miller and Izan Bueno each scored 13 points, while Sam Gueths had seven.

Bowler's Emmitt Kietlinski scored 26 points, also reaching the 1,000-point milestone for his high school career in the contest. Beau Brunner added 11 points, while Tristan Thiex had 10. Danian Schultz provided eight points, while Damian Terrio had six.
