BOYS BASKETBALL

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 68

Weyauwega-Fremont 59

Wittenberg-Birnamwood picked up a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division road win over Weyauwega-Fremont on Thursday.

Austin Gibson led the way for Witt-Birn, scoring 26 points. Gibson made nine field goals and eight free throws.
Brendan Resch added 15 points for the Chargers, while Logan Balliett tallied 10 points. Jack Fraaza and Simon Stewart each posted eight points.

Iola-Scandinavia 85

Bonduel 53

Bonduel couldn’t slow Iola-Scandinavia in a CWC-East matchup on Thursday in Bonduel.

Cole Letter scored 16 points to pace Bonduel on the offensive end of the floor. Garrett Engel scored all nine of his points on 3-point shots, while Justin Bahr chipped in eight points.

Bonduel trailed 50-20 at halftime.

Almond-Bancroft 76

Gresham 59

Gresham came up short in a CWC crossover matchup with Almond-Bancroft on Thursday in Gresham.

Lukas Pecore knocked down three 3-pointers and led Gresham with 17 points. Will Jensen and Raven Bennett each added 12 points, while Waylon Welch chipped in seven points.

Pecore and Welch had six rebounds each, while Jensen blocked five shots.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bonduel 43

Iola-Scandinavia 41

Bonduel rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half for a wild CWC-East road win over Iola-Scandinavia on Thursday.

Bonduel trailed 27-16 at halftime and eventually was down 36-23 with 11 minutes to play. The Bears went on a 16-0 run, capped by a three-point play by Josie Hoffman to take a 39-36 lead with under two minutes to play.

After the teams traded field goals, Iola-Scandinavia converted a three-point play to tie the game at 41. Allaina Robaidek delivered the game-winning points for the Bears, making a contested floater in the lane with about two seconds to play before Iola-Scandinavia's last-second shot fell short.

Robaidek led Bonduel with 14 points and five steals, while Kara Troxel had 11 points, five steals and four assists. Brenna Hertzfeldt added eight points off the bench and Hoffman pulled down 15 rebounds.
