BOYS BASKETBALL

Gresham 87

Tigerton 41

Gresham took down Tigerton in a Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division game on Feb. 1 in Gresham.

Lukas Pecore knocked down five 3-pointers and led Gresham with 22 points. Austin Sperberg hit three triples and added 18 points, while Belasaire Vele had 16 points. Corbin Welch tallied 11 points and Jack Haffner had eight.

Vele also had 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals. Haffner grabbed eight rebounds, while Sperberg had seven boards, five assists and three steals. Welch had five assists and five rebounds and Pecore grabbed eight boards.

Ryder Graham and Zeke Griepentrog each scored nine points for Tigerton. Asher Michaelis and Colby Wanta had eight points each.

Bonduel 91

Wey-Fre 85

Bonduel picked up a high-scoring CWC-East win over Weyauwega-Fremont on Feb. 1 in Bonduel. The Bears hit 12 3-pointers in the contest.

Noah Weier hit six 3-pointers and had 31 points for the game. Reece Stoltenow hit three triples and tallied 24 points.

Jon Sell contributed 15 points for the Bears, while Charlie Tauchen had 11.

Witt-Birn 83

Menominee Indian 42

Wittenberg-Birnamwood eased to a CWC-East win over Menominee Indian on Feb. 1 in Keshena.

Simon Schairer led Witt-Birn with 31 points, making 14 field goals on the night.

Jack Fraaza added 14 points for the Chargers, while Ben Wesolowski had 13 and Kaden Schmidt eight.

Isaiah Moss led Menominee Indian with 10 points. Bryce Dixon added nine points, while Allen Smith had eight.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 57

Nekoosa 29

Witt-Birn outscored Nekoosa 36-14 in the second half to pick up a nonconference win on Feb. 1 in Nekoosa.

Reese Rogowski and Kaylee Schram combined for 40 points for Witt-Birn, scoring 22 and 18 points, respectively.

Schram grabbed 11 rebounds, while Rogowski dished out three assists. Jami Wendler and Jadalynn Davids had three steals each.

Suring 74

Oneida Nation 63

Suring topped Oneida Nation in a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash on Feb. 1 in Suring.

Christine Sleeter tallied 29 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and three blocks for Suring.

Bunny Cramer hit three 3-pointers and had 16 points for the Eagles. Kate Mahoney and MacKenzie Bailey scored 10 points each.

Bailey grabbed 14 rebounds and had three assists. Mahoney had seven assists, while Macie Reed tallied five assists.
