BOYS BASKETBALL

Bowler 56

Tigerton 45

Bowler topped Tigerton in a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division clash on Dec. 9 in Bowler.

Emmitt Kietlinski led a balanced Bowler offensive attack with 14 points. Beau Brunner added 12 points, while Nathan Webster had 10 points.

Ryder Graham tallied 14 points, six rebounds and three steals for Tigerton. Asher Michaelis added eight points, 16 rebounds and four assists, while Maverick Maas scored nine points. Loghan Wanta chipped in seven points and six rebounds.

Pulaski 75

Sheboygan South 47

Pulaski rolled to a Fox River Classic Conference win over Sheboygan South on Dec. 9 in Pulaski.

Brady Wotruba knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 16 points for Pulaski. Derek Shaw and Colin Schultz each hit three triples and added 15 points.

Derek Block chipped in eight points for the Red Raiders. Gatlin Robaidek contributed seven points.

West De Pere 63

Shawano 61

Shawano dropped its first game of the season after West De Pere won on a tip in during a Bay Conference clash on Dec. 9 in Shawano.

Brandon Reed scored 23 points to lead Shawano offensively.

Shawano's Michael Metcalf-Grassman chipped in 15 points, while Jacob Landon had seven.

Bonduel 68

Witt-Birn 54

Bonduel picked up a CWC-East road win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Dec. 9 in Wittenberg.

Noah Weier led a balanced Bonduel attack with 13 points. Karter Schroeder added 11 points, while Ryan Westrich had 10.

Charlie Tauchen provided nine points for the Bears. Colin Margelofsky added eight points.

Mason Meverden hit three 3-pointers and scored 21 points for Witt-Birn. Michael Miller had 12 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 55

Bonduel 49

Witt-Birn remained perfect on the season after taking down Bonduel in a CWC-East battle on Dec. 9 in Bonduel. Witt-Birn outscored the hosts 33-24 in the second half.

Rory Salvesen tallied 22 points for Witt-Birn, while Reese Rogowski had 20 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three assists.

Melaina Granquist pulled down eight rebounds for the Chargers. Faith Resch and Jami Wendler each grabbed seven boards.

Audrey Weier scored 15 points to lead Bonduel, while Hailey Zernicke had 13, Ella Hischke eight and Hailee Thompson seven. Hischke dished out four assists, while Zernicke led the team with 12 rebounds.

WRESTLING

Witt-Birn 2nd at invite

Witt-Birn scored 173 points to place second at the Neenah Invite on Dec. 9 in Neenah. Only Neenah (237) scored more points.

David Gauderman led the Chargers with a first-place finish in the 220-pound weight class. Ben Miller (113), Devin Wudtke (132), Nico Pelusi (152) and Braeden Groshek (170) all came in second.

Easton Davis (126), Andres Sanchez (145) and Owen Schultz all took third for Witt-Birn.

Bonduel claims 8th at invite

Bonduel came in eighth place at the Neenah Invite on Dec. 9 in Neenah, scoring 92½ points.

Jaxon Bogacz led Bonduel with a first-place finish in the 106 weight class.

Donovan Vigue (160) and Tyson Bogacz (182) both came in second place for Bonduel. Parker Perry (170) grabbed third place for the Bears.

Tyson Bogacz earned his 100th career win during the invite.

Lena takes 9th in Neenah

Lena scored 82½ points to take ninth place at the Neenah Invite on Dec. 9 in Neenah.

Sam Marquardt placed second at 145 pounds to lead Lena on the night.

Dylan Comins (120) and Max Peterson (138) both earned third-place finishes for the Wildcats.

Whiting leads Oconto Falls girls in Brillion

Taylor Whiting earned a first-place finish in the 107-pound weight class to lead Oconto Falls at the Brillion Invite on Dec. 9 in Brillion.

Whiting pinned her first opponent before winning an 8-1 decision in the title match.

London LeSage (106) claimed second place for the Panthers.

3 Hawks take 2nd at invite

Onna Hermann (126), Piper Novitski (145) and Hatty Fritz (235) all earned second-place finishes for the Shawano girls team at the Brillion Invite on Dec. 9 in Brillion.

Courtney Schenk (145) and Vivian Waldburger (152) both earned third-place finishes for the Hawks.
