BOYS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 64

Menominee Indian 60

Wittenberg-Birnamwood edged Menominee Indian in a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division battle on Dec. 16 in Keshena.

Mason Meverden hit five 3-pointers and led Witt-Birn with 24 points. Michael Miller added 15 points.

Marshall Fraaza contributed 10 points for the Chargers. Keegan Schmid tallied eight points.

Lloyd Reevis knocked down seven triples and scored 31 points to power Menominee Indian. Isaiah Moss chipped in 17 points.

Wey-Fre 57

Bonduel 56

Bonduel dropped a CWC-East contest to Weyauwega-Fremont on Dec. 16 in Bonduel.

Ryan Westrich scored 12 points to lead Bonduel offensively. Charlie Tauchen and Noah Weier each tallied 11 points.

Westrich and Tauchen each knocked down three 3-pointers for the Bears. Bonduel had 12 triples as a team.

Waupaca 62

Oconto Falls 58

Oconto Falls couldn't hold a 13-point halftime lead in a North Eastern Conference setback to Waupaca on Dec. 16 in Waupaca.

Braden Vandermoss scored 17 points for Oconto Falls. Kody Vorpahl contributed 12 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bonduel 67

Wey-Fre 11

Bonduel routed Weyauwega-Fremont in a CWC-East contest on Dec. 16 in Weyauwega. The Bears led 35-8 by halftime.

Hailey Zernicke led a balanced Bonduel offensive attack with 14 points. Ella Hischke added 12 points, while Macy Niles and Audrey Weier tallied 11 points each.

Hischke and Weier each grabbed eight rebounds, with Weier also blocking four shots on the night.

Witt-Birn 69

Menominee Indian 27

Witt-Birn eased past Menominee Indian in a CWC-East clash on Dec. 16 in Wittenberg.

Reese Rogowski recorded 30 points, eight rebounds and seven steals for Witt-Birn. She scored her 1,000th career point on the night.

Faith Resch tallied 13 points and five boards for Witt-Birn, while Rory Salvesen had nine points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists. Melaina Granquist contributed eight points and 10 boards, while Allison Linke had seven points.

Suring 51

Crivitz 35

Suring picked up a Marinette & Oconto Conference victory over Crivitz on Dec. 16 in Crivitz. The Eagles outscored the hosts 27-11 in the second half.

Christine Sleeter recorded 18 points and nine rebounds for Suring, while Bunny Cramer had 11 points, four assists and three steals. MacKenzie Bailey had eight points, 15 rebounds and five assists.

Birdee Cramer posted six points and six boards for the Eagles. Emma Kristof grabbed six rebounds.

Niagara 42

Gillett 39

Gillett dropped a tight M&O battle to Niagara on Dec. 16 in Gillett.

Carleigh Kaczmarek scored 14 points to pace Gillett. Cheyenne Krueger added 10 points, while Cilena Guns chipped in six.

Gresham 51

Tigerton 19

Gresham knocked off Tigerton in a CWC-North contest on Dec. 16 in Tigerton. The hosts had just five players available for the contest.

Maddie Haffner led Gresham with 15 points. Jessa Jensen added 10 points, while Chloe Bohl and Rylie Kakwitch chipped in nine points each.

Sienna Breaker scored 10 of Tigerton's points, with Abby Swartz had five.
