Theresa Gunderson, 42, Birnamwood, waived her preliminary hearing during a court appearance June 10 and pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges related to a police chase last month outside Aniwa.

Gunderson was charged May 26 with one count of attempting to flee or elude an officer, one count of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, one count of resisting an officer — causing a soft tissue injury, one count of possession of an electric weapon, nine counts of bail jumping and one misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer.

Shawano County police reportedly responded to a domestic incident May 25 at a residence on Summer Street in Aniwa. Police say Gunderson then left the residence, and her vehicle was reportedly traveling 113 mph in a 55 mph zone. According to a criminal complaint, Gunderson led police on a chase by car and, later, by foot, during which time a deputy was injured in a struggle.

Gunderson entered not guilty pleas, represented by attorney Daniel Mitchell.

If convicted, she faces up to 12½ years in prison along with $10,000 in fines for first degree recklessly endangering safety, six years in prison along with a $10,000 fine for the charge of resisting an officer and causing injury and six years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each bail jumping count.

Gunderson is currently being held on $10,000 cash bond. A final pre-trial hearing was set for Gunderson on June 20.
