Gresham/Bowler girls 3rd, boys 4th at track and field meet

The Gresham/Bowler girls placed third, while the boys co-op came in fourth at the Wild Rose Post-Conference Meet on May 17 in Wild Rose.

The girls co-op scored 79 points, behind only Manawa's 113 points and Wild Rose's 92 points. Tigerton tallied 34 points to place sixth, while Marion had eight points to claim seventh.

The Gresham/Bowler boys scored 50 points. Manawa won with 149 points, while Wild Rose had 106 and Iola-Scandinavia 99.

Hannah Cerveny, Valarie Cerveny, Jemy Reed and Ireland Jensen teamed up for both top finishes for the Gresham/Bowler girls team. The quartet placed first in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 56.26 second and had a top time of 2:01.84 in the 4x200 relay.

Emmitt Kietlinski led the boys co-op with two first-place finishes. He won the high jump after clearing 6 feet, 2 inches, while posting a leap of 41 feet to win the triple jump.

Elizabeth Robbins claimed second in the 100 (13.33) and 200 (28.98) to lead the Tigerton girls.

Marion's 4x100 relay team of Peytra Bailey, Lily Wudstrack, Hailey Meister and Bridget Much teamed up for third with a time of 1:07.1.
