Eggert paces Shawano at Bay Conference meets

Gabi Krause and Kailea Van Der Linden led the Bonduel golf teams with a score of 44, good enough for second place, at the Oconto Scramble on Aug. 25. The duo teamed up for a 44, three strokes off the winning pace.

Raina Dworniczak and Paige Wolf connected for a 47, while Colette DeVeau and Anna Beaumier had a 48.

Madison Sikora and Allison Johnson of Oconto with a 46.

Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay also participated.

Jaguar Classic (Scramble)

Pulaski golfers led five area teams at the 19-team Jaguar Classic at Hilly Haven Golf Course in De Pere on Aug. 24.

The Red Raiders posted a 65, three strokes off the lead.

Shawano placed sixth with a 71, Oconto Falls tied for ninth with a 77, and Bonduel tied for 12th with a 79. Oconto was 18th with an 87.

Bay Conference Mini-Meet 5

Sophia Eggert once again set the pace for the Shawano golf team and for the rest of the competitors in the Bay Conference Mini-Meet 5 at Cherry Hills Golf & Lodge in Sturgeon Bay on Aug. 22.

Eggert shot a 42, but with Xavier shooting well enough to capture the second-, third- and fourth-best scores of the day, the Hawks ended up in third place out of six teams.

Xavier won with a 183, followed by Seymour at 209, Shawano at 212, West De Pere at 220, Winneconne at 226 and Bonduel at 246.

Joining Eggert for Shawano’s third-place finish were Madelyn Moesch with a 52, and Lily Glysch and Alli Johnson each with 59.

Braylyn Babino scored 60.

Beaumier led Bonduel with a 59, followed by Wolf at 61, and Van Der Linden and Krause at 63 each.

DeVeau shot a 68.

Bay Conference Mini-Meet 4

Eggert led the Shawano golfers at the Bay Mini-Meet #4 at Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil on Aug. 21.

Bonduel was the host team.

With Xavier grabbing the team title with 166 strokes, it was Shawano in second with 181 and Winneconne in third with 188, followed by Seymour with 195, West De Pere with 198 and Bonduel with 218. Green Bay NEW Lutheran had an incomplete team.

Eggert’s 39 was one stroke off the best score. Other team members and their scores were Johnson with a 45, Babino with a 47 and Moesch with a 50.

Glysch scored a 58.

Bonduel was led by Van Der Linden with a 53. She was joined by DeVeau with a 54, Wolf with a 55 and Krause with a 56.

Hailey Spates shot a 67.

River Classic Conference Mini-Meet 1

Pulaski placed sixth out of seven teams at the Fox River Classic Conference Mini-Meet 1 on Aug. 21 at the Sheboygan Town and Country Golf Course.

The Red Raiders ended the day with a 194, ahead of last-place Ashwaubenon’s 207 strokes. Leading the way was Bay Port with 164, Green Bay Preble at 177, De Pere at 181, Notre Dame Academy with a 186 and Sheboygan North at 192.

Leading the way for Pulaski was Vivien Ninham with a 40, good enough for a two-way tie for second place, one stroke behind the leader. She was joined by teammates Ella Trewartha and Ella Ficarri, each with a 49, and Danika Holewinski with a 56.

Grace Olson had a 62, and Magdalen Jandric had a 65.
