Dairyland League Highlights (July 14)

Hofa Park 6

Pulaski 5

Hofa Park scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to stun Pulaski in a July 9 battle in Hofa Park. The hosts scored the game-winning run on an error.

Mason Dorn tallied four hits and scored twice for Hofa Park. Nick Volz drove in two runs, while Robert Schuettpelz tallied two hits.

Hayden Groff earned the win in relief of Schuettpelz. Groff worked two scoreless innings, while Schuettpelz struck out six over seven frames.

Ethan Bemowski drove in two runs for Pulaski, while Hunter Larson tallied two hits. Larson was dealt the loss on the hill after pitching the ninth. Drew McDermid struck out 10 batters over eight frames.

Shawano 7

Cecil 2

Shawano topped Cecil in a July 7 clash in Shawano. The hosts walked 10 times and used a four-run sixth inning to pull away.

Andrew Popp drove in two runs on two hits to lead Shawano at the plate. Chase Henning scored three runs, while Ashton Henning scored twice. Bryce Popp was the winning pitcher after striking out seven over six frames. Ashton Henning struck out five across the final three frames.

Noah Beilfuss posted three of Cecil’s nine hits. Isaac Boldt, Kenny Casper and Garrett Engel had two hits each. The Mudhens used four pitchers in the contest, with Jake Sager taking the loss.

Waupaca 13

Navarino 0 (7 inn.)

Waupaca eased past Navarino in a July 9 matchup in Waupaca.

Brenden Canterbury homered twice and drove in five runs to power Waupaca at the plate. Johnny Popham and Ryan Makuski each drove in three runs.

Cam Seidl earned the win on the hill after striking out eight batters over six innings. Jack Eagan worked the seventh.

Jacob Borchert took the loss on the hill for Navarino.

Bonduel 18

Nichols 4

Bonduel rolled to a win over Nichols on July 9 in Bonduel.

Jack Reinke picked up the win on the mound for Bonduel in relief of Hunter Van Der Linden.
