Crick swimmers qualify for state

Peyton and Kaydence Crick had a goal of representing Wittenberg Area Swim Program at the state tournament after a long summer season of swimming.

At the recent LCM 12 & Under State Championship Meet, held July 21-23 at the Pleasant Prairie Rec Plex, both girls competed in multiple events.

Peyton Crick swam with girls 10 and under in the 50-meter breaststroke and placed 32nd out of 71 swimmers. In the 50-meter butterfly, she placed 30th out of 74 swimmers. In the 100-meter butterfly, she was 16th out of 19 swimmers, which earned her a ribbon. Finally, in the 100-meter breaststroke, she placed 23rd out of 36 swimmers.

Kaydence Crick swam with girls 10 and younger in the 100-meter backstroke and placed 28th out of 37 swimmers. In the 50-meter breaststroke, she placed 49th out of 71 swimmers. In the 50-meter freestyle, she placed 67th out of 108 swimmers, and in the 50-meter backstroke, she was 46th out of 93 swimmers.
