Recent proceedings in Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court:

• Lorene K. Opperman, 55, of Gresham, was charged July 28 with a felony count of theft in a business setting. She could face a maximum six years in prison and $10,000 fine if convicted. Opperman is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Aug. 31.

• Amanda R. Sanapaw, 32, of Keshena, was charged July 24 with a felony count of possession of methamphetamine. She could face a maximum 3 1/2 years in prison and $10,000 fine if convicted. Sanapaw posted a $1,500 cash bond set by Judge James Habeck and is due in court for an adjourned initial appearance Aug. 17.

• Kayla M. Childs, 32, of Shawano, was sentenced by Judge William Kussel Jr. on July 24 to two years’ probation on a felony charge of possession of cocaine.

• Dawn L. Haney, 32, of Keshena, was sentenced by Judge William Kussel Jr. on July 21 to two months in jail as a condition of two years’ probation on a felony count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
