Wisconsin outscored Marquette 43-32 in the second half to take the in-state showdown at the Kohl Center in Madison on Sunday.

Six Badgers scored in double figures, led by 15-point efforts from Brad Davison and Brevin Pritzl. Aleem Ford scored 12 points, while Nate Reuvers, D’Mitrik Trice and Kobe King each had 10.

Pritzl grabbed 13 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass, to post a double-double. Ford had seven boards, while Trice had three steals. Wisconsin improved to 3-1 overall.

Koby McEwen led the Golden Eagles with 19 points, while Markus Howard had 18. Howard made just 6-of-21 shots from the floor.

Marquette turned the ball over 15 teams and fell to 2-1 overall.

McNeese 63

Wisconsin outscored McNeese by 17 in the second half on Nov. 13 at the Kohl Center in Madison to pull away and improve to 2-1 overall.

Brad Davison scored 24 points and had four steals to lead Wisconsin, which buried 10 3-pointers, shot over 50% from the field and made 15-of-18 shots from the free throw line.

Wisconsin’s Aleem Ford scored 16 points, while Brevin Pritzl had 13 and Nate Reuvers 10. Walt McGrory tallied nine points off the bench, and D’Mitrik Trice chipped in eight points.

Purdue 55

Marquette rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to take down Purdue on Nov. 13 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Koby McEwen led the Golden Eagles with 23 points, while Markus Howard tallied 18 points. Theo John grabbed nine rebounds, while Jamal Cain had seven.

Marquette outscored Purdue 40-17 in the second half.

Wisconsin 65

Eastern Illinois 52

Wisconsin pulled away from Eastern Illinois to score its first win of the season on Nov. 8 at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Kobe King led the way for the Badgers, scoring 18 points and pulling down six rebounds. Nate Reuvers added 14 points, while Aleem Ford had 11 and Brevin Pritzl nine off the bench.

Reuvers tallied 14 rebounds and blocked nine shots. Pritzl grabbed seven rebounds.

Wisconsin shot just 38.2% from the floor and made three 3-pointers, but converted 20-of-24 shots at the free throw line.

Marquette 88

Loyola 53

Marquette raced past Loyola in its season opener on Nov. 5 at the Fiserv Form in Milwaukee. The Golden Eagles outscored the Greyhounds 44-15 in the first half.

Markus Howard made seven 3-points and nine free throws on his way to a 38-point game. Sacar Anim and Koby McEwen each chipped in 11 points.

Theo John grabbed a team-leading eight rebounds, while McEwen had seven. John blocked eight shots.

Marquette buried 14 3-pointers as a team.

St. Mary’s 65

Wisconsin 63 (OT)

Wisconsin opened the season taking on 20th-ranked St. Mary’s, coming up a basket short in overtime while playing at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Nov. 5.

Nate Reuvers led the Badgers with 22 points, six rebounds and four blocks. Brad Davison added 16 points, and D’Mitrik Trice had 10.

Wisconsin made just five 3-pointers, missed six free throws and shot 42.3% from the field. The Badgers turned the ball over 14 times.
