Churches hosting prayer services

Everyone is invited to attend public prayer services this weekend, hosted by the three local Catholic churches.

The intent is to pray for relief from the stress of the pandemic, for understanding in addressing the racial crisis in the United States and for a peaceful presidential election. Veterans, law enforcement, first responders, EMTs and others will be prayed for because of the protection they provide for everyone.

The first public prayer service will be in Wittenberg on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11-11:30 a.m. at Washington Park, by the flagpole near the band shell.

Another public prayer service will be held in Marion at Veterans Memorial Park, later that day from 1:30-2 p.m.
