Wittenberg-Birnamwood Lions Invite
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood girls won their home Lions Invite, with the Bonduel boys finishing second, the best among area teams and just five points behind Edgar.
Winning for the Chargers were Nora Bushman in the 800-meter run, Faith Resch in the 100-meter hurdles and the triple jump, the 4x400-meter relay team and the 4x800 team.
Finishing in second were Ava Brei in the 100- and the 200-meter dashes, Resch in the high jump, Kylee Beversdorf in the long jump and Harper Rogowski in the 400.
Placing third were Beversdorf in the 400, Gabrielle Timm in the 3,200-meter run, the 4x100 team, the 4x200 team, Brei in the long jump and Kaydence Burclaw in the discus.
On the boys side, it was Landen Schmidt winning the discus and taking second in the shot put.
Third-place finishes were recorded by Donald Komosa in the 400 and the high jump.
Bonduel boys capturing the gold were Griffin Uelmen in the 800 and the high jump, Ben O’Brien in the 3,200, Samuel Roberts in the long jump and triple jump, and Ryan Westrich in the shot put.
Earning second place were Roberts in the 200, O’Brien in the 1,600, the 4x200 team, the 4x400 team and the 4x800 team.
Coming in third were Westrich in the 200, Oliver Chitwood in the 3,200, Owen Springborn in the long jump and Westrich in the discus.
Top finishers for the Gresham/Bowler team were Isabella Stevens, second in the girls shot put and third in the high jump; and the boys 4x100 relay team, third.
Marion’s best performers were Presley Stewart-Rolfs, fifth in the girls high jump, and Jesse Trebus, fourth in the boys 800.

Oconto
Oconto Falls girls won 11 events, including all four relay races, and the boys won eight at five-team meet at Oconto High School.
Gold medal winners for the girls were Rylie Shallow in the 100, Abby Budz in the 200, Brynn Hodkiewicz in the 400, Brooke Hodkiewicz in the 800, Hailey Delzer in the 1,600, Josie Saari in the 100 and 300 hurdles, and the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams.
Taking second place were Gracie Miller in the 100, Ashlyn Vandermoss in the 200, Rhiana Vandeyacht in the 400 and long jump, Evelyn Savage in the 800, Arianna Impastato in the 1,600, Mackenzie Lotto in the 300 hurdles and Moran Moynihan in the discus.
Capturing third were Savage in the 400, Gwen Maggio in the high jump, Miller in the long jump, Budz in the triple jump, Anna Burd in the pole vault and Ava Hodkiewicz in the discus.
On the boys side, first place was earned by Emerson Rice in the 800, Griffin Kopke in the 1,600, Alex Haines in the 110 hurdles and high jump, the 4x100 relay team, the 4x400 relay team, Brady Bursa in the long jump and Bryce Schefdore in the discus.
Coming in second place were Elijah White in the 100, Isaac Bramer in the 200, Brant Laluzerne in the 400, the 4x200 relay team, Jonathan Moody in the discus and Schefdore in the shot put.
Placing third were Bursa in the 200, Sage Mendolla in the 800, Braxton Raijkovich in the 3,200, Emerich Skarban in the 100 hurdles and high jump, and Moody in the shot put.
Not to be outdone, Menominee Indian had its share of gold medals.
For the boys, Barron Waupoose won the 200 and the 400, Mitchell Perez won the 300 hurdles and Kenew Awonohopay won the triple jump.
Julius Kaquatosh placed second in the 3,200, as did Nakadin Boyd in the 300 hurdles.
In the girls competition, Alexis Zhuckkahosee won the high jump. Lena Waukau was second in the triple jump.
Placing third were Zhuckkahosee in the 100 and Waukau in the 200.
