The Milwaukee Brewers home opener against the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed because of positive coronavirus tests.

MLB Network’s Jon Heyman was the first to report the news on Twitter. “Sources: Cardinals had positive tests, forcing postponement,” wrote Heyman in a follow-up tweet.

The news has been confirmed by several other outlets, including ESPN and CBS.

MLB games between the Philadelphia Phillies and Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins were already postponed Friday, meaning six of the league’s 30 teams have their seasons on hold.

As of 10:45 a.m. Friday, MLB.com has the Brewers, Cardinals series continuing on Saturday at 6:10 p.m. The teams will then play a doubleheader Sunday, with the first game slated for a 1:10 p.m. start.
