Bonduel wins home tournament

The Bonduel Broncos won the 44th annual Bronco Invitational Tournament, which ran July 10-14 in Bonduel.

Bonduel topped the Navarino Rangers 13-3 in seven innings in the championship game on July 14.

Adam Frost homered twice and drove in six runs to power Bonduel at the plate. He was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

Jack Reinke earned the win on the mound after coming on in relief of J.C. Reinke.

Earlier in the tournament, Bonduel topped the Nichols Nitros 14-2, with Wyatt Reinke earning the win on the mound in a complete game effort.

Navarino advanced to the title game with a 15-6 win over the Shawano Lobos. Kyle Finger was the winning pitcher.

Navarino took down the Hofa Park Panthers 6-2 in another tournament game. That same day, the Cecil Mudhens doubled up Nichols 4-2.

Bonduel opened the tournament with a 4-3 comeback win over Cecil. Parker Dorn and Frost hit home runs for the Broncos, while Luke Kostreva drew a game-winning bases loaded walk.

Shawano earned a weather-shortened 7-5 win over Hofa Park on the first day of action. Chase Henning belted a grand slam to lead Shawano at the plate.
