BayCare Clinic eye center to close

BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists, which has served the Oconto Falls area since 1985, is closing its Oconto Falls location at year’s end.

A news release said the decision is driven by physician retirements and “reflects the evolving healthcare landscape and the need to ensure exceptional care for patients at all locations.”

The clinic said it extends heartfelt gratitude to the Oconto Falls community for its support over the past 38 years.

“The decision to close the Oconto Falls clinic was not taken lightly, and we recognize the impact it may have on our patients and the community,” said Dr. William Reynders, a comprehensive ophthalmologist with BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists. “However, we want to reassure everyone that our Green Bay and Marinette sites are fully equipped to meet their healthcare needs. Patients will still receive the exceptional care they deserve.”

The Oconto Falls clinic and optical center at 323 E. Highland Drive, Suite 8, is scheduled to close on Dec. 29. Drs. Elizabeth Congdon and Jacob Kozisek plan to continue to see patients there until that date.

Reynders plans to continue to provide surgical services, including cataract surgeries, at HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls until Dec. 19.
