Clintonville used a five-run eighth inning to pull away for a makeup game win over Marion on July 24.
Kyle Finger led Clintonville with three hits, while Jeremy Schoenike and Aaron Morse each added two. Jayden Doornick was the winning pitcher.
Ryan Mortensen took the loss for Marion. Jake Riemer led the team at the plate with two hits.
Neopit 5
Shawano 3
Neopit knocked off Shawano in a makeup game July 26.
Mequon Frechette had two hits for Neopit, while Mike Pecore reached base three times. Bobby Peters picked up the win.
Brandon Bushy suffered the loss for Shawano.
Gresham 14
Clintonville 5
Gresham evened up the division race with a convincing win over Clintonville on Sunday. Both teams held 9-2 records heading into the final week of the season, with each team having to play twice yet.
Brent Berkoholz led Gresham at the plate by hitting two home runs — a three-run shot and a grand slam. T.J. Arrowood and Cody Riemer added two hits, with one of Riemer’s being a homer. Mitch Pleshek earned the win.
Kenny Casper and Jordan Koeppen each had two hits for Clintonville, while Kyle Finger homered. Hunter Vollmer took the loss.
Neopit 16
Menominee 0
Neopit eased past Menominee in a seven-inning contest. Neopit improved to 8-3, while Menominee fell to 0-11.
Bobby Peters finished with four hits to lead Neopit at the plate. Sam Tourtillott added three hits and also was the winning pitcher. Karl Peters had two hits.
Ray Lemuix was the losing pitcher.
Marion 20
Shawano 8
Marion cruised to a lopsided win over Shawano to improve to 4-8. Shawano fell to 5-5.
Jake Westphal and Jake Riemer each had three hits for Marion, while Joe Weyenberg earned the win.
Mike Korth Sr., Cody Urban and Brandon Bushy had three hits each for Shawano. Brandon Estep suffered the loss.
West Division
Tilleda 5
Leopolis 4
Tilleda edged Leopolis to move to 2-10 overall. Leopolis fell to 3-9.
Zach Fehrman earned the win on the hill, pitching all nine innings and striking out five batters.
Tommy Stueck had three hits, while Nate Laude tallied two for Leopolis. Kasey Kristof took the loss.
Little Falls 4
Tigerton 1
Little Falls moved a step closer to a division title by taking down Tigerton. Little Falls is 10-1 overall, while Tigerton fell to 9-3.
Chris Dunn struck out 17 batters over nine innings to earn the win. He also had two hits and two RBIs at the plate. Kal Fischer added three hits.
Paul Sellner took the loss on the hill despite pitching well. Conner Harris and Brandon Sivertson each had two hits, with Sivertson belting a homer.
Caroline 9
Bowler 3
Caroline tallied 14 hits to take down Bowler and improve to 7-4. Bowler fell to 2-10.
Conner Senzig led Caroline with four hits, while Dylan Loveland, Tyler Marquardt and Travis Marquardt each adding two hits. Bryson Bernarde earned the win.
Paul Murphy took the loss on the hill, but finished with two hits at the plate. Phil Duffek also had two hits.
Northern Division
Wittenberg 13
Aniwa 12
Wittenberg claimed a high-scoring victory over Aniwa to improve to 2-9 overall. Aniwa fell to 2-9.
Tom Froom led Wittenberg with four hits, while Blu Anderson had three and Keegan Miller two. Seth Steliga earned the win.
Brian Hoppe and Zach Weber each homered for Aniwa. Kody Szews and Denton Mortenson also had two hits each. Nolan Hoppe took the loss but finished with a team-high three hits.
Hatley 4
Eland 1
Hatley improve to 8-3 win a victory over Eland, which fell to 6-6.
John Breske struck out six batters in a complete game effort for Hatley. Kodie Kocher led the way at the plate with three hits.
Jeremy Jensen and Joe Buss each tallied two hits for Eland. Jarod Richter was the losing pitcher.
Elderon 7
Aniwa 0
Elderon blanked Aniwa to improve to 7-4 overall.
Adam Janikowski was the winning pitcher, while Brandon Groshek had two hits to lead the way at the plate.
Denton Mortenson suffered the loss for Aniwa (2-9).
Elderon also wins by forfeit
Elderon earned a forfeit win over Antigo/Polar because the co-op did not have enough players to field a team.
Antigo/Polar fell to 4-7.
South Central Division
Plover 9
Green Lake 1
Plover knocked off Green Lake in a makeup game July 25.
Andy Tepp led Plover with three hits, while Dan Moriel homered and drove in three runs on two hits. Zach Hintz earned the win.
Austin Cook took the loss for Green Lake.
Plover 2
Scandinavia 0
Plover downed Scandinavia to improve to 6-4 overall. Scandinavia fell to 6-4.
Andy Tepp and Ryan Makuski each tallied two hits for Plover. Jake Dreves earned the win on the hill, while Jason Jones picked up the save.
Jeremy Dunihoo suffered the loss for Scandinavia.
Waupaca 29
Green Lake 1
Waupaca earned a lopsided victory over Green Lake to bump its record to 11-0. Green Lake, which slipped to 1-9, conceded the game after six innings.
Cam Seidl tossed a no-hitter to earn the win, striking out 10 batters along the way. Brenden Canterbury hit a grand slam, while Tyler Goggins drove in three runs. Andy Wanty, Ethan Dayton and Tyler Dayton all had two RBIs.
Carter Rhode took the loss for Green Lake.
