Anna “Anne” Rose Redmond, 93, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Shawano surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 4, 1929, to the late George and Lena (Hoffman) Neumeier in Gresham. Anna graduated from Gresham High School in 1947 and lived in Gresham all her life. On June 16, 1956, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Redmond in Gresham. They were married over 63 years until his passing. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and raising her family. She also enjoyed cooking and going to the casino. Anna was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.

Anne loved and cared for her family with her whole heart, always putting others before herself. Her gentle, welcoming spirit and loving heart was evident to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed here on earth, but we hold onto the hope promised by God that we will one day reunite with her, along with Dad, in heaven.

Anne is survived by her children, Kris (Joe) Hodgson, of De Pere, Pat (Teresa) Redmond, of River Falls, Becky (Mark) Dillenburg, of Shawano, Jackie (Rick) Dorshorst, of Waukesha, Wendy (Paul) Ainsworth, of Shawano, Amy (George) Craig, of Green Bay, and John (Lori) Redmond, of Ripon; Barb (Welk) Mendoza, of Gresham, and Brian Welk, of Gresham. Barb was like Mom’s sixth daughter and Brian like her third son. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Anna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Anne is preceded in death by her husband, parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church of Gresham with the Rev. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
