Ann M. Fuge

By:

Ann M. Fuge, 81, of the Town of Matteson, passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022 at her home.

Ann Fuge was a lifelong resident of Clintonville, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and vibrant member of the community; truly living a life of service above self. She was a non-stop traveler, adventurer and liver of life.

Ann was born in Clintonville on June 21, 1941, daughter to the late Forest and Magdalen (Bohr) Schafer; and a later graduate of Clintonville High School. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she met the love and companion for life, Dave Fuge, and began a long and joyous life together.

Ann and Dave taught their sons the responsibilities of life, sportsmanship and community responsibility as they served the Waupaca and Shawano county areas in many capacities over their long lives. Together, they operated Honey Creek Gallery, and were the co-founders of the Navarino Nature Center where Ann served many years on the board of directors. Ann was also active in many other roles including service at Christus Lutheran Church, District Governor for Rotary District 6220, and the Clintonville Foundation.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick (Paula) Fuge, Green Bay, Michael (Angela Van Groll) Fuge, Stevens Point, Jeffrey (Kristine) Fuge, Lindstrom, Minnesota, and Christopher (Jamie) Fuge, Rosholt; grandchildren, Stephen (Jamie) Fuge, Nathan (Dasha) Fuge, Annalie Fuge, Nicholas Fuge, Bethany (Nathan) Rajski, Sylvia Fuge and Oskar Fuge; great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Theodore Fuge, Makayla Manske, and Forrest Rajski; brother, John (Bonnie) Schafer, Clintonville; and her canine companion, Gidget.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David R. Fuge; sisters, Margaret Dupke and Susan Schafer; and a brother, David Schafer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with the Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will take place at Bethesda Cemetery in the Town of Navarino at 2 p.m.

Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory in Clintonville, and again on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

The family thanks the Waupaca County Sheriff Department, medical examiner and first responders for your professionalism and assistance.

We also ask that donations instead of flowers, be sent in Ann’s name to the community service organization closest to your heart, as we know that is how she lived every minute. If your heart is a bit empty right now as ours is; please consider a donation to the Clintonville Rotary (https://www.facebook.com/ClintonvilleWiRotaryClub) or Rotary International (https://www.rotary.org/en), the Clintonville Foundation (https://www.cffoxvalley.org/partners/our-partner-funds/clintonville-area...) or the Navarino Nature Center (https://www.navarino.org).
