American Car Care Center sold

SHAWANO — American Car Care Center of Shawano was under new ownership as of Thursday after being sold to the Auto Select franchise.

The business at 1229 E. Green Bay St. has been in operation in Shawano for more than 22 years.

It is now one of 11 car care businesses operated by Auto Select, which has other locations in Appleton, Green Bay, Neenah, Stevens Point and Weston.

Former owner Bruce Milavitz announced the sale on Facebook.

“Along with a new year and a new decade come new changes at American Car Care Center Shawano,” Milavitz wrote. “Charlene Onesti Milavitz and I, Bruce Milavitz, have decided it’s time to sell the business.”

Milavitz said nothing will change for customers used to dealing with American Care Care Center.

“You will continue to see the same people you have trusted over the years with your automotive needs for the employees will be retained by the new owners,” he wrote.

“We would like to thank you our valued customers and community for trusting us with your automotive needs these past 22½ years,” Milavitz said. “We cannot thank you enough for your commitment to us and we know you will be just as happy with the new ownership that will be operating as Auto Select - Shawano.”
