5 WASP swimmers place well at Badger State Games

Wittenberg Area Swim Program swimmers turned in strong finishes during the Badger State Games on June 10-12 at the Aspirus YMCA in Schofield.

A total of five WASP swimmers competed over the three-day event.

8-and-under division

Halley Innes: first, 50 butterfly (45.61), 50 breaststroke (56.41), 25 butterfly (19.98) and 25 backstroke (22.39); second, 100 IM (1:43.95), 50 freestyle (43.52), 50 backstroke (53.36) and 25 breaststroke (25.63).

9-10 division

Kaydence Crick: fourth, 100 IM (1:44.23); fifth, 50 breaststroke (54.8); 10th, 50 backstroke (46.25); 11th, 50 freestyle (42.56).

Peyton Crick: fourth: 50 breaststroke (54.68); sixth, 100 IM (1:45.99); eighth, 50 backstroke (44.62) and 50 freestyle (39.22).

11-12 division

Elizabeth Behnke: seventh, 50 backstroke (58.48); 11th, 50 breaststroke (1:01.71); 13th, 50 butterfly (1:00.29); 14th, 50 freestyle (45.25).

Rylee Crick: third, 50 breaststroke (39.94); fourth, 50 freestyle (30.32), 200 breaststroke (3:17.88), 50 butterfly (54.16) and 100 breaststroke (1:28.32); sixth, 100 IM (1:18.86) and 100 freestyle (1:10.74); seventh, 100 backstroke (1:19.26).
