2020 concert series lineup announced

WITTENBERG — Robby Wyman, of Rubber Soul Productions LLC, announced the lineup for the 2020 music concert series. All concerts will be held at the Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School Auditorium, 400 W. Grand Ave., Wittenberg.

Bill Anderson is first up Feb. 9, and Wyman considers him to be country music royalty. Anderson is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, Songwriters Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame. He is also the only songwriter in history to achieve an entry on the country charts for seven consecutive decades and was the first recipient of the BMI Icon Award.

March 29 will bring Dale Watson and his Lone Stars. Watson has defined classic honky-tonk for more than two decades. He’s christened his brand of American roots “Ameripolitan” to differentiate it from current crop of Nashville-based pop country.
Rounding out the three-concert series May 10 is Asleep at the Wheel. The band holds 10 Grammy awards, 20 studio albums and 20 singles on the Billboard country charts. Western swing is what band founder Ray Benson calls “jazz with a cowboy hat.” They began with a simple goal — to play and help revive American roots music. Fifty years later, they’re still going strong.

All shows start at 4 p.m., and season tickets are available for purchase. There are two season ticket options. For pricing and available seating, call Wyman at 715-584-4203.
Tickets for individual shows will be available after Monday Nov. 18. Tickets will be available online at www.rubbersoulproductions.com or at the service desk at Hanke’s Sentry Foods in Wittenberg. There are no guarantees that individual seats will remain for any of the shows, as season tickets are expected to take most of the premium seating options. To secure a seat close to the stage, Wyman recommends purchasing a season ticket.
