18 area graduates land on WIAC academic lists

8 are graduates of Oconto Falls

A total of 18 area graduates landed on the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll list.

To be named to the list, a student-athlete must achieve at least a 3.00 grade-point average. Individuals on the list will receive a certificate.

Shawano

Three student-athletes from Shawano Community High School made the Scholastic Honor Roll.

Crede Timm, a member of the UW-River Falls football team, made the list in his first year of college.

Teagan Monfils appeared on the list twice because she competed for the UW-Eau Claire track and field and cross-country teams.

Sarah Dickmann was honored after competing for the UW-Stout women’s soccer team last fall.

Oconto Falls

Eight Oconto Falls graduates landed on the academic list.

MacKinley Winkler earned the honor and played for the UW-Oshkosh football team last fall.

Brenton Wolf was honored in his first year of college. He competed for the UW-River Falls men’s track and field team.

Dakota Carriveau and Catherine Moeller also made the list in their first years of college. Carriveau played football at UW-Stevens Point, while Moeller was on the UW-Platteville women’s track and field roster.

Also making the academic list was Evan Sigmund, Michael Fifield, Mike Friedman and Shelby Coron.

Friedman and Fifield made the list twice after running cross-country and track and field at UW-Stout.

Sigmund played baseball for UW-Whitewater and Coron was on the UW-Oshkosh volleyball team.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood

Hannah Flak represented Wittenberg-Birnamwood on the list.

Flak swam for the UW-Stevens Point women’s team.

Bonduel

Jessie LaBerge, a Bonduel graduate, earned an academic honor in her first year at UW-Whitewater.

LaBerge was a member of the women’s golf team.

Suring

A pair of first-year college athletes that were graduates of Suring made the list.

Mitchell Stegeman was one of the two. He competed on the UW-Eau Claire men’s track and field team.

Reece Garrigan was the other student-athlete. Garrigan played football at UW-Stevens Point.

Bowler

Allison Stewart, a graduate of Bowler, made the academic list.

Stewart was a member of the UW-River Falls women’s track and field team.

Marion

Marion graduate Kalyssa Watters earned the academic honor after competing for the UW-Eau Claire women’s track and field team this year.

Watters’ season was cut short because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Clintonville

Clintonville graduate Samantha Smejkal also made the honor roll list.

Smejkal was a freshman on the UW-La Crosse women’s swim team last fall.
