Senzig's sponsor barn quilt in Tilleda

Todd and Wendy Senzig, owners of Senzig’s Fine Home Furnishings in Shawano, have sponsored Shawano County’s 372nd barn quilt. Called “I Feel MOO-velous,” it is on display on a farm owned by Dean and Cheryl Konkel at W13004 State Highway 29, Tilleda, 15 miles west of Shawano.

Dean Konkel and four brothers, including his twin, Wayne, grew up on the 80-acre farm that was purchased by their parents, Lesley and Beulah Konkel, in 1943 from a Schultz family. The barn on which the quilt is displayed was built more than 100 years ago.

Printco adds senior accountant to team

Printco Industries, Inc. has announced the addition of a senior accountant to its team.

Tina Bergner was hired recently to assist with all facets of the accounting operations at the manufacturing/design facility located in Pulaski.

Bergner has a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business through Lakeland College. Bergner feels that having worked numerous years in accounting as well as other industries has provided her a solid foundation for the position.

IPA ranks KerberRose in top 200 firms

KerberRose was recently ranked within the Top 200 Firms in the nation by Inside Public Accounting (IPA).

This is the firm’s sixth consecutive year making IPA’s Top Firms lists, and the first year within the Top 200 Firms.

The Platt Group publishes the award-winning IPA newsletter for the public accounting profession and the annual IPA National Benchmarking Report. Each year, the IPA releases its annual financial performance analysis and ranking of the nation’s top 400 largest firms.

Many times, now with the advancements in science, medical providers can tell the baby’s gender as early as 10 weeks. It can be very exciting to learn any new details about the growing baby so soon-to-be parents can prepare and celebrate with family and friends.

Rogalski named to presidential fellowship program

The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program has announced that Dr. Kathryn Rogalski, vice president of learning at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, is one of 40 leaders selected for the 2021-22 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship, a highly selective leadership program preparing the next generation of community college presidents to transform institutions to achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.

In a recent national survey, one-third of adults over the age of 45 reported having joint pain within the past 30 days, with knee pain being the most common, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Motorsports author’s book tour stops locally

Motorsports author and Green Bay native Joe Verdegan has announced a book tour in December to promote his seventh book, “5-10-32 – McBride, Parker and Anvelink,” which will feature the trio of Northeast Wisconsin dirt late model icons.

Those icons featured in the book are M.J. McBride from Shawano, Pete Parker from Kaukauna and Terry Anvelink from Navarino.

“5-10-32 – McBride, Parker and Anvelink” will be the fourth book Verdegan has penned with Pedal Down Promotions of Manitowoc.

On Dec. 7, the tour stops at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill in Shawano from 6-8 p.m.

“It’s Not Over” by Willow Rose is a multilayered tale of love, loss and revenge that will be hard to sum up in a single column. I will do my best with a thumbnail sketch.
